Check out the great things going on at the Churchill County Library in May!
Last week a kindergarten class read, “That is not a good idea” by Mo Willems. A story about soup. First, kindergartners got to write their own soup recipes, then they made cheeseburger soup together as a class and ended their Thursday enjoying the delicious soup.

From FOA (Friends of Oasis) - We are quickly approaching our favorite time of year - Teacher Appreciation Week! This year, Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6th - 9th. This week is the perfect time to show our love and appreciation for our Oasis teachers and aides!
To show our acknowledgement of all the hard work our teachers do, FOA would like to enlist your help in providing lunches and treats throughout the week. Please keep in mind this is in addition to whatever activities and gifts are arranged for individual teachers by room parents. Below is a schedule of what we'd like to do for our teachers that week:
Monday = Lunch from Slanted Porch
Tuesday = Breakfast - bagels, pastries, muffins, coffee, tea
Wednesday = Lunch from Getto Subs
Thursday = Nacho Bar, drinks, dessert
Please consider donating using this link to help make this week special for our teachers! Any and all donations are greatly appreciated and any additional funds raised beyond what is needed will be used towards next year's Teacher Appreciation.
If you have any questions, please contact FOA at foabighorns@gmail.com.
Thanks for your support,
Friends of Oasis (FOA)
During Prom Week Student Council planned a fun activity to go with the Tangled theme. If students brought a frying pan... they got a pancake. Fun way to incorporate the theme and get breakfast! Thank you Mr. Grimes and StuCo for planning great activities like these.
