Mr. Lenon worked with the eighth graders making models to understand neurotransmitters. They learned neurotransmitters transmit messages between neurons and muscles and that they're responsible for most the actions in our bodies. #bighornblue #STEM #poweroflearning




Freshmen in Mr. Sprinfield's history class took a trip through time by modeling the first civilizations through models and powerpoints. They learned about Ancient China's jade pots, Ancient Egyptian's jars for remains, and Ancient Sumeria's written language. #bighornblue

This afternoon we received a report of a student making a threat to our school. Administration immediately located the student and the Fallon Police Department was notified with appropriate action taking place.
Oasis Academy takes all threats seriously and will remain diligent regarding any threats to our schools. We continue to work closely with the Fallon Police Department to thoroughly investigate any threats or perceived threats to the school or our students.

This Thursday (September 26) is Pajammin' for Cancer Day. Students may wear pajamas to school on Thursday for a $1 donation. This year funds raised will be given to local student LeAnne Wallace as she continues her battle with leukemia. Pajamas must be school appropriate.

Today's home volleyball games vs Coral Academy and the Middle School Girls Basketball games scheduled to be played at Coral Academy have both been postponed. We are working on rescheduling. #bighornblue


#STEM Third graders are learning about weather and temperature. Students had to use touch to gauge the temperature of water in a cup. They were then given a thermometer to get an accurate reading. #bighornblue #poweroflearning
