Job Expectations
Oasis Academy is seeking a dedicated IT Repair Technician to join our Information Technology team. This role is vital in supporting our educational mission by ensuring all technology, particularly Chromebooks and classroom technology, functions optimally to aid teaching and learning. The IT Repair Technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various educational technology equipment, providing critical support to teachers and students.
Key Responsibilities:
Chromebook Maintenance: Diagnose and repair Chromebooks, addressing both hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
Classroom Technology Support: Troubleshoot and resolve problems with classroom technology such as interactive whiteboards, projectors, and other instructional tools.
Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance checks on technology equipment to prevent issues.
Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of spare parts and replacement units for technology equipment.
Documentation: Keep detailed records of repairs, replacements, and maintenance activities.Training: Assist in training staff and students on using and caring for Chromebooks and other technology tools.
Support: Provide technical support to ensure effective technology use in teaching and learning.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
A+ certification preferred but not required.
Experience with Chromebook repairs and classroom technology support highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Commitment to providing high-quality support to enhance education.
Ability to work collaboratively within the IT department and with educators and students.
