Andy Lenon
Counselor Andy Lenon started at Oasis in 2016 and was excited to longer commute. He holds a Masters in School Counseling.
Mr. Lenon currently works with the middle and high school students, providing individual student support as well as teaching social emotional learning and neuroeducation. In addition, he also is the instructor for CHS 102 Health and Well Being and EPY 150 Strategies for Academic Success. Both classes are taught to Freshman and Sophomores as dual-enrollment college classes with Western Nevada College.
He says, "My favorite part about working at Oasis Academy is working with the some of the best educators there are. These teachers are so amazing at what they do and are always doing what is best for kids.”
Mr. Lenon thrives on seeing the students who face extreme adversity continue to shine, persevere, and keep moving forward. They inspire and motivate him even more.
His life and biggest supporters are his little family- wife, son, daughter, and identical twin brother. In his free time, Mr. Lenon is a competitive push/ pull powerlifter and holds state records in the bench press and deadlift. His best lifts are a 340-pound bench and a 550-pound deadlift. He prides himself on the ability to eat more than any other school counselor.
